Church wide Picnic – An intergenerational cookout with hot dogs, hamburgers, and sno-cones followed by an activity such as volleyball or a scavenger hunt. (Mid-September)
Fall Festival – A cooperative project which finds Middle and Senior High Youth operating activity and game booths in Baker Center following a snack supper in the Christian Education courtyard. Many costumed youngsters look forward to this evening. (The Sunday before Halloween)
Advent Pajama Party – Children (and many parents) come dressed for bed to this evening of preparing for Christmas by decorating a tree, making crafts, and sharing a candlelight devotion. Peppermint sundaes are a tradition here. (The first Sunday in Advent – December 2, 2007)
Christmas Caroling on the Naples Trolley – An intergenerational trip caroling with choir chimes to shut-ins and retirement homes. (the second Sunday in Advent – December 9, 2007)
High Tea for 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders – Elegant afternoon tea prepared by these older elementary girls for their invited guests. Some wonderful connections are formed at these fancy parties. (November and/or February)
Biannual Daddy/Daughter Dance – A special night for dads and their favorite girl(s). (Friday closest to Valentine’s Day)
Ash Wednesday Dinner – An intergenerational meal following the Ash Wednesday Service. (Ash Wednesday)
Relay for Life – Moorings always reserves two spots for this annual fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Join our spirited teams for overnight or just for the day. (April 18 & 19, 2008)
Progressive Dinner – Fun and good food from house to house (Spring)
